Bethany, is a warm, empathetic, authentic clinician.  With over 15 years experience providing counselling support to individuals impacted by trauma as well as to those experiencing a range of challenging life issues.  She is a Registered Psychologist (PSY0002176604) Medicare Provider Number 60965018 and holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), Post Graduate Diploma Psychology (PDPsych), Master of Professional Psychology (MProfPsych). Bethany is also Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing  (EMDR) trained.

 

Bethany works with clients to help them achieve greater awareness and develop resilience to life's hardships.  Bethany supports clients faced with anxiety, depression, grief and personality disorders. 

 

The therapeutic alliance is is a very important component to therapy success.  Bethany builds rapport easily with clients and ensures open and transparent communication.  Each client needs are different and Bethany tailors the therapy sessions to reflect this and align with therapy goals.  She utilises a range of evidence based modalities and interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).  Treatment plans consist of strategies that can be implemented into day to day life.
